First Move to Android (Get to Know Android)

I was asked by my colleagues about Android.  Some didn’t know about Android, though they might have seen it in some ways. Some knew that Android is an operating system for mobile devices. (For those who still wonder what an operating system is, let put it this way. If you use a PC or Notebook, you would be familiar with Windows, icons on your screen and applications shows up when you click the icon, right? Yes, Windows is an operating system for your PC or notebook. ) However, they were surprised that Android has versions, holding an iOS device like iPhone. He thought Android is only single-version operating system.
That triggered me to write something to tell others, including my colleague and having zero Android experience about this operating system. I know there are tons of websites talking of Android. However, I would tell the starters or beginners in the easy and understandable way. Yep! I would not talk much the history of Android, but only definition and its versions. I will also give you Android updates, news, devices, applications (App), reviews, tips , and tutorials. Stay tuned on my blog.
Android is an operating system for mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets, developed by Google and the Open Handset Alliance in 2007 with the beta version, Android Beta. Then Android 1.0 was released in September 2008 and Android 1.1 in February 2009 to resolve bugs and add more features. Later after the Android 1.1, Android has been developed with more bug fixes and an increasing number of cool features under a codename (version name) based on a dessert or sweet treat.

Android version history:
Version Codename Devices
Android 1.0 Apple pie Smartphones
Android 1.1 Bananabread Smartphones
Android 1.5 Cupcake Smartphones
Android 1.6 Donut Smartphones
Android 2.0/2.1 Éclair Smartphones
Android 2.2.x Froyo Smartphones
Android 2.3.x Gingerbread Smartphones
Android 3.x Honeycomb Tablets
Android 4.x Ice Cream Sandwich Smartphones and Tablets
Android 5.x Jelly Bean Smartphones and Tablets

Next time, let have a look the logo of each version. How delicious they are!!!
